287 students including 156 from Govt schools share first 10 positions

The J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) announced the results of the class 12th examination, with a total of 287 students, including 156 from government schools in Jammu and Kashmir, achieving the top 10 positions.

In the Science stream, 161 students, including 79 from government schools, secured the top 10 positions.

Shahid Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad Dar from Fayaz Educational Institute, Faizabad Nowgam, Srinagar, attained the first position with a score of 496 marks. Mustaqeem Afaq, son of Afaq Ashraf Beigh from Tyndale Biscoe Higher Secondary School, Srinagar, secured the second position with 495 marks, while Haifa Sajad, daughter of Sajad Ahmad from Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School, Srinagar, achieved the third position with 494 marks.

In the Commerce stream, 63 students, including 29 from government schools, claimed the top 10 positions. Irtiza Manzoor, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Shah from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal, Srinagar, secured the first position with 491 marks. The second position was shared by six students who scored 490 marks, including Fiza Zahra, Kritika Dogra, Muskan Maqbool, Shriya Pathania, Syed Mehnoor Andrabi, and Vanshika Mahajan. Five students who scored 489 marks shared the third position, namely Aamir Fayaz Wani, Musaib, Naziya Nissar, Sadiya Waheed, and Syed Moiza Andrabi.

In the Arts stream, 53 students, including 38 from government schools, achieved the top 10 positions. Mahveen Wani, daughter of Javed Akbar Wani from Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHHS), Amira Kadal, Srinagar, secured the first position with 495 marks. Adaa Manzoor, daughter of Manzoor Ahmed Dar from GGHSS, Amira Kadal, Srinagar, secured the second position with 494 marks. Three students who scored 493 marks shared the third position: Azmat Zehra, Fiza Mushtaq, and Misba.

In the Home Science stream, all the top 10 positions were secured by students from government schools in Kashmir.
