On Monday evening, unidentified gunmen shot and wounded a civilian named Aqib Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Ismail Dar, in the Marhama area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
According to an official speaking to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), militants fired on Aqib, who runs a readymade shop in the locality.
He was initially taken to SDH Bijbehara and later referred to GMC Anantnag for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area to capture the assailants.
