According to officials, a Road Opening Party (ROP) of BSF discovered an improvised explosive device (IED) on Monday morning in a village in Handwara.

The ROP, operating under the control of SHQ BSF Kupwara, detected and recovered the IED in the general vicinity of Bhattpura village, near a culvert.

This timely recovery has successfully prevented a significant disaster, as stated by the officials.
