The Income Tax Department invites applications for filling up the posts of Director (Systems), Deputy Director (Systems) and Assistant Director (Systems) on a deputation basis (Including short-term contract) in the attached and subordinate offices of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. These posts belong to General Central Services Group „A‟ Gazetted Non-Ministerial Cadre.

Income Tax Recruitment 2023 Eligibility and Age Limit

Educational Qualification & Experience:

1. For Director (Systems)

• The candidate should have a master’s Degree in Computer Application or a Master of Science (Computer Science or Information Technology) from a recognized university or institute.

  The candidate should have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology) from a recognized university or institute.
• The candidates should have Twelve years post qualification experience in the relevant areas of Programming or Information Systems in a Government office or public sector undertaking or autonomous body or statutory body or in any recognised institution.

2. For Deputy Director (Systems)

• The applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science or Master of Technology (M. Tech.) (with specialization in Computer Application) or Bachelor of Engineering (B E)/Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology of a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 5 years experience of in electronic data processing work out of which at least two years of experience should be in the design, Development or organization Computerised Information Storage and retrieval Systems.

• The applicant must have a Degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science or Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 7 years experience of in electronic data processing work out of which at least 3 years of experience should be in the design, Development or organization of Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems.
  
  OR
  
• The applicant must have a master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent or a Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 8 years experience of in Electronic Data Processing work out of which at least 4 years of experience should be in design, Development or organizing Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems.
  
  OR
  
• The applicant must have a Level Diploma under the DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses) Programme or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application offered under the University Programme/Post-Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Applications awarded by the State Council of Technical Education or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 8 years experience of in Electronic Data Processing work out of which at least 4 years of experience should be in design, Development or organizing Computerised Information Storage and Retrieval Systems.

3. For Assistant Director (Systems)

• The applicant must have a Masters’s Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science or Master of Technology (M. Tech) (with specialization in Computer Application) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology of a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 2 years of experience in electronic data processing including experience in actual programming.

• The applicant must have a Degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science or Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 3 years experience in electronic data processing work out of which at least 1 year experience should be in actual computer programming.

• The applicant must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent or a Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
• The applicant must have 4 years experience of in Electronic Data Processing out of which at least 2 years experience should be in actual computer programming.
  
  OR

• Deputy Director (Systems) – Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/-
• Assistant Director (Systems) – Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/-
