As per the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs, India recorded 5,335 new Covid cases in the past 24 hours, crossing the 5,000 mark on Thursday.
The total number of active cases has now increased to 25,587. The daily positivity rate was reported at 3.32 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was at 2.89 percent.
The nationwide vaccination drive has administered a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses (95.21 crore second dose and 22.87 crore precaution dose), with 1,993 doses administered in the last 24 hours.
The total recoveries increased by 2,826 in the same period, bringing the total recoveries to 4,41,82,538, with a recovery rate of 98.75 percent.
A total of 1,60,742 tests were conducted, taking the total number of tests to 92.23 crore.
On Wednesday, Delhi recorded 509 fresh cases, with no deaths reported. The positivity rate in the city stands at 26.54 percent.
