The Indian Army has officially released the notification for Direct Entry under Sports Quota for Havildar and Naib Subedar posts. This opportunity is open to unmarried Indian male and female candidates with outstanding achievements in various sports disciplines at national or international levels after 1 April 2023.
Applications are invited in the prescribed format and must be sent offline to the Army Sports Control Board. The final selection will be made through trials and tests scheduled by the Indian Army. The last date for application submission is 15 June 2025.

This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for sportspersons in disciplines such as Athletics, Archery, Basketball, Boxing, Diving, Football, Fencing, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo, Kayaking & Canoeing, Kabaddi, Swimming, Sailing, Shooting, Triathlon, Volleyball, Wushu, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Winter Games. Other exceptional disciplines may also be considered.
Eligibility Criteria of Havildar and Naib Subedar Vacancies:

Educational Qualifications: Minimum qualification for both posts is Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.
Age Limit: Minimum age is 17½ years and maximum is 25 years. Candidates must be born between 30 September 2000 and 1 October 2007.
Sports Achievements:
Havildar (Direct Entry): Candidates must have either Won a medal at Junior/Senior National Championship or Khelo India Games/Youth/University Games / Represented India at the international level
Naib Subedar (Direct Entry): Candidates must meet one of the following:
Won medal at World Championship/Asian Championship/CWG/World Cup
Represented India twice in Asian Games/CWG/World Cup
Represented India in Olympics
