Early reports indicate that in the Karnataka election, the Congress party is leading against the BJP and JD(S), according to the latest data from the Election Commission.
At 9:15 am, Congress was ahead on 38 seats, while the BJP was leading on 15 seats and JD(S) on 2.
Exit polls suggest a closely contested election, with some predicting a majority for Congress and others predicting a hung assembly.
In such a scenario, the JD(S) could play a significant role in determining the government. JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy stated that he has not yet been approached for government formation and is hopeful for a positive outcome.
The election is crucial for both BJP and Congress, as they aim to gain or retain power in the state.
