According to the meteorological department, the forecast for Jammu and Kashmir until June 12 indicates predominantly dry weather with a slight chance of evening showers or thunderstorms.
An official from the department mentioned that while the weather is expected to be mainly dry, there is a possibility of a brief spell of shower or thunderstorm in the evenings, although the chances are relatively low (10-20%).

The official also stated that the temperature will gradually rise, and warmer days are anticipated.
Regarding the specific temperature observations, in Srinagar, the overnight low was 11.2°C, lower than the previous night’s 12.4°C and below the normal average by 2.2°C for this summer capital.
Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, experienced a low of 10.2°C compared to 11.2°C on the previous night, indicating a deviation of 1.8°C below the normal temperature.
Pahalgam, a popular tourist resort in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, recorded a low of 5.0°C, which was 2.0°C below the usual temperature of 6.0°C from the previous night.
In Kupwara town, the temperature settled at 10.4°C, lower than the previous night’s 11.2°C, and 1.3°C below the normal average for the north Kashmir area.
Kokernag experienced a low of 9.9°C, compared to the previous night’s 8.4°C, indicating a deviation of 3.0°C below the normal temperature for the region.
Gulmarg, the famous skiing resort in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, recorded a low of 5.6°C, slightly lower than the previous night’s 6.0°C, with a deviation of 2.4°C below the usual temperature.
In Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the overnight low was 21.7°C, lower than the previous night’s 23.0°C, and 4.0°C below the normal average.
Other temperature observations include Banihal at 11.5°C, Batote at 13.0°C, Katra at 19.6°C, and Bhaderwah at 8.8°C.
