NCBS Recruitment 2024 Notification Out; Apply Online, Check Post Details, Salary, Age and Qualification Required

NCBS Recruitment 2024: The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for posts of Administrative Assistant-B, Clerk (A) & Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer). The vacancies for the mentioned posts will be filled on a permanent basis. The last Date to apply online is 30^th April 2024. As given in the official notification of the PGCIL Recruitment 2024, 11 Vacant Posts are available for the stated positions.

The maximum age limit for applying for the mentioned job posts is 33 years. The applicants applying for the should have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. According to the NCBS Recruitment 2024, the selection process involves a Written test and an Interview.

Overview —
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), an Autonomous Institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India is also a Deemed University, mainly awarding degrees for doctoral programs. The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) a Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research is looking for appointments on a permanent basis. Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals.

NCBS Vacancy Details —
There are eleven vacancies available for the position of Administrative Assistant-B, Clerk (A) & Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer) at NCBS to be filled on a permanent basis:-

1. Administrative Assistant-B — 01 Post
2. Clerk (A) — 09 Posts
3. Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer) — 01 Post

Age Limit —
As stated in the NBCS Recruitment 2024 Official Notification the Age limit for various posts is mentioned below:-

1. Administrative Assistant-B — Maximum 33 years
2. Clerk (A) Unreserved — Maximum 28 years
3. Clerk (A) OBC — Maximum 31 years
4. Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer) — Maximum 33 years

Qualification & Experience Required —
As per the official notification of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) the qualification required for each post is mentioned below:-

1. Administrative Assistant-B

• Graduate from a recognized University/Institute with an aggregate of 55% marks.
• Proficiency in word processing/database/accounting procedures.
• 5 years experience in Accounts/ Purchase/Stores/General Admin /Establishment in a large and reputed organization.

2. Clerk (A)

• Graduate from a recognized University/Institute with an aggregate of 50% marks.
• Knowledge of typing.
• Knowledge of the use of personal computers and applications – supported by certificates from government-recognized institutions.
• Minimum 1 year experience in clerical duties and correspondence in a large and reputed organization.

3. Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer)

• Full-time BE/B.Tech Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Information Science (with an aggregate of 60% marks) from a recognized university/institute.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Drupal/WordPress CMS including module and theme development/Hands-on experience on experience in carrying out system administration, on a Linux environment.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with VM ware.
• Good knowledge of PHP/Python/Bash/Perl Scripting.
• Installation, Compilation, Configuration and Testing with open-source applications on a Linux platform.
• Web development experience on the LAMP stack.
• Sound knowledge of Linux OS.
• Experience in taking up regularly upgrade of the current systems as well as maintaining periodic backups and verification.
• Experience in installation/integrating new applications and technologies in the system.

Salary —
According to the official notification of NCBS Recruitment 2024, selected individuals will be paid a salary in the pay scale mentioned below:-

1. Administrative Assistant-B — Level 6 (Stage-1) Basic Pay: Rs. 35,400/- + allowances as per Central Government norms.
   
2. Clerk (A) — Level 3 (Stage-1) Basic Pay: Rs. 21,700/- + allowances as per Central Government norms.
   
3. Scientific Officer C (Systems Engineer) — Level 10 (stage-1) Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100/- + allowances as per Central Government norms.

Selection Process —
The Selection process shall involve two-stage i.e., a Written test and an Interview. The Interview shall be conducted only for those candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test.

Candidates have to apply online only through the www.ncbs.res.in website.

Step 1: Interested candidates should register ONLINE through the link on our website using a valid email ID.
Step 2: You will receive a user ID and password on your registered email ID.
Step 3: Using your ID and password, you can fill in the application by clicking on “Submit Application”
Step 4: Once you fill in the application, you can SAVE or PREVIEW the application. Please Note: Any corrections should be made before you SAVE the application.
Step 5: After you SAVE, you can submit the application by clicking “SUBMIT”.
Step 6: All essential certificate is proof of your qualification, date of birth, experience, etc. Should be uploaded while submitting the ONLINE application.
