J&K’s sole internationally acknowledged soccer coach Sajid Yousuf Dar has been awarded another honour following FIFA has appointed him as the mentor of their ‘Coach Education Development Pathway Project’.
About 20 Coach Educators from across the nation are expected to participate. There will be between 5 and six Coach Educator Developers who will be guiding students throughout the course.
Kashmir University Football Coach and J&K’s only internationally recognized soccer coach will be among the coaches for the project.
The project is comprised of four stages.
The first stage will be e-learning which is in the process of being developed, then the online course is scheduled to begin in October.
The third phase of the program will consist of the mentoring on site of the participants in November in Goa as well as the final phase will be individual mentoring of the Coach Educators.
FIFA is focusing in the creation of domestic coach educators that will ultimately aid Member Associations in the development of coaches with higher qualifications.
Sajid in addition to his regular assignment as a professor at his job at the University of Kashmir is helping the All India Football Federation in different coach education programs. He is an educator, following the conclusion of his time as the Head Coaching of both the Indian Youth Team and Senior Indian Women National Football Team.
Sajid is currently an AIFF D as well as an AFC C Licence Coach Educator. He’s been involved in more than twenty Coach Education Courses across the nation. Recently, he was upgraded to an AFC B Licence Coach Educator and has also assisted Marriano Dias during the AFC B Licence held at Bhuvneshwar in Odisha.
