Sheep Husbandry Schemes 2023 for unemployed youth: Applications are invited from the interested small and marginal farmers /un-employed youth/ Individual/ group of individuals/ Self Help Groups / Co-operative Societies/ Farmer Producer organizations of either gender of District Udhampur for the Establishment of Sheep and Goat Units under RKVY -Retrieval mode (Non-Bankable) and Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS)- Retrieval Mode (Non-Bankable) for the year 2023-24.

Name of Schemes:

Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) Retrieval Mode (Non-Bankable):
■ Comprising 10 Sheep / Goat (Ewes/ Does) to be supplied free of cost by the department from the already established units under RKVY-Participatory/ retrieval Mode.
■ Retrieval of equivalent no. of animals of female progeny from the 3rd year of establishment @ 02 animals per year for 05 consecutive years.

Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS)- Retrieval Mode (Non-Bankable):
■ Comprising 10 Sheep / Goat (Ewes/ Does) to be supplied free of cost by the department from the already established units under ISDS- Participatory/ retrieval Mode.
■ Retrieval of equivalent no. of animals of female progeny from the 3rd year of establishment @ 02 animals per year for 05 consecutive years.

Eligibility Criteria:
The beneficiary must have sufficient land holding, infrastructure/ fodder/ grazing and manpower resources available to maintain the unit in an organized manner.

Applicants can approach this office / nearest office of the Veterinary Assistant Surgeon/ SDO of the department for application forms and guidelines of the schemes or any other query on all working days during official hours.

How to Apply?

The application forms duly filled in along with requisite documents and recommendation of concerned Sarpanch / BDC Member/DDC Member /President/ Chairman of MC should reach the office of
SDO Ramnagar /VAS Sheep Husbandry Department of the concerned block within 15 days from the date of publication of notice in the dailies (publish date: 15-03-2023).

The application forms along with detail of schemes are available with this office as well as the office
of the SDO Ramnagar and all Veterinary Assistant Surgeons of Sheep Husbandry Department Udhampur.

Selection of the beneficiaries shall be made through a draw of lots in presence of the designated committee under the chairmanship of District Sheep Husbandry Officer Udhampur.

The number of beneficiaries shall depend upon the number of units available with the district for the year 2023-24 under the scheme.
