According to officials, a boy of 16 years sustained injuries after being stabbed by another boy in the Villgam area of Kupwara district in North Kashmir.

Officials stated that an altercation took place between two boys while they were bathing in Nallah Kehmil in Villgam this afternoon. As the argument escalated, Areez Ahmad Ahangar, a 16-year-old boy and son of Javed Ahmad from Mirpora Trehgam, stabbed Saqib Ashraf, son of Mohammad Ashraf from Dingree Trehgam, using a sharp object, resulting in injuries.

The injured boy was immediately transported to SDH Kupwara for medical treatment, and his overall condition is reported to be stable, according to the officials.

A police official verified the incident and confirmed that a case has been registered for further investigations.
