Two associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba who were detained as suspects in the Baramulla wine shop explosion case managed to escape from police custody on Wednesday morning, as per officials.
According to a statement from Baramulla police, the two accused escaped during the early hours of Sehari time while being held in police station Baramulla.
A case has been registered under appropriate sections, and attempts are being made to apprehend the escapees.
The two individuals had been detained in connection with an incident in which a wine shop in Dewan Bagh, Baramulla, was blasted in the previous year, according to official sources.
