Uri: Wild animal takes away minor boy, 6 days after leopard killed girl

Uri: 6 days after a minor girl was killed by a leopard, a wild animal on Thursday snatched and carried along a seven-year-old boy in the Moli Nag Mehak Forest area located in Dhani Syedian Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, this evening.

According to reports the boy named Ali Hussain (7) son of Abass Hussain was with the family in the forest when the predatory animal decided to attack him, and disappeared into the dense forest with the boy. Families raised shouts and a cry, but were unable to keep him out of the clutches of the beast. A police team later arrived and initiated extensive searches, along with families and locals.

The official said the animal is believed to be one of the leopards.
