According to officials, two individuals lost their lives in the Mujpathri area of Budgam district on Saturday when a high-altitude meadow was struck by lightning.
The incident occurred in the Sochalpathri area of Mujpathri, which is situated in the upper region of Doodhpathri in Budgam. The lightning strike resulted in the unfortunate deaths of two people.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Taja Begum, the wife of Abdus Samad Chopan, and Mohd Sultan Chopan, who was the son-in-law of Ghulam Mohd Chopan. They were residents of Gurwaith Kalan.
In response to the incident, a team of officials has swiftly arrived at the location, and further investigations into the matter are underway.
